Have you been wanting to try an Underground Dinner at The Cedar House Sport Hotel‘s Stella Restaurant? Hurry, there’s only 2 more Underground Dinners scheduled for the season! These are relaxed, community style ‘dinner party’ events featuring some of Chef Jacob’s classics and newest creations.
All Underground Dinners are BYOB with No Corkage Fee! While they will have bottles of wines to purchase, they encourage you to bring your favorite wine or beer to share with your companion and friends.
For pairing wines appropriately, they recommend visiting The Pour House or UnCorked (both located in downtown Truckee) and matching your personal preferences with the food being served that evening:
Curried lamb and potato samosa, fig jam
Slow roasted pork belly musubi with fermented vegetables
Rye, whipped burrata, heirloom tomato, basil, black garlic
Branzino and brassicas
Octopus, yam, chorizo, red onion
Corned venison leg and cabbage, carrot, potato, juniper, mustard
Gravenstein apple, corn muffin crisp, maple, raisins, brandy
