Today’s #WeddingTip for #WeddingTipTuesday comes from Chef Bud Walters, owner at Black Hat Catering:
Approaching Food Budgets
“Let’s face it. Budget conversations are awkward. Here is a simple way to get a realistic idea of what food at your wedding will cost you:
Think of the restaurant you’d love to take your guests to. Envision the food quality, the menu, and the service. What you pay per person there is comparable to what you will probably pay for similar foods at your wedding.
A footlong sub, chips, and a medium drink run about $20 at subway, so long as you don’t get that delicious cookie.
A night out at a 5-star bistro with apps, a salad, an entrée, and dessert will run upwards of $100+.
There is food for every budget, so don’t be afraid to ask about more affordable options. Keep the conversation with your caterer going, we love making things work for couples!”
