Today’s #WeddingTip for #WeddingTipTuesday comes from Kelly Bride from The Bride’s Floral Mortician, a premier floral preservation wedding pro serving Tahoe, Sacramento, Reno, the Carson Valley and all across Northern California!
What do to with your Bridal Bouquet (or the Groom’s Boutonnière)…
“Deciding if you want to preserve your bouquet is important before the wedding day.
There are two important things we ask our clients to decide before we start working on the preservation process.
1) Are you wanting to press your bouquet or boutonnière or keep it three dimensional? At the end of the process we are stuck with what was preserved. There is no way to inflate pressed flowers and visa versa.
2) How are we getting the bouquet or the boutonnière? Who is our point person? At the end of the night, often times, the group is rowdy and inebriated; the client’s things get shuffled and put into a car roulette. People really want to “help” the couple and have good intentions. We can always recreate lost bouquets, but ideally the sentiment is in the flowers from the event itself. So be sure to assign this task to someone in advance.
The key is to plan ahead and make sure you have this element of your wedding planning done and assigned well in advance of your wedding day”
