Putting together a dream team of wedding pros is the key to a successful wedding, and in our area there is no shortage of absolutely amazing vendors to choose from. And when they not only work together, but also celebrate one another’s success, real magic happens.
Here at Real Weddings, we are always looking for vendors to join us in contributing to our photo shoots. When we asked designer Ramona Arnold of Simple Country Weddings to design our set for the “Home on the Range” cover model finalist model shoot, she thought it was a great opportunity to bring other designers together and collaborate together on the design, and we were honored to work with Ramona to bring together an incredible team of women.
“I feel that there is a barrier/line that some in the wedding industry is afraid to cross. A big one for me is feeling like planners can’t work with other planners. Some are afraid to give advice to newcomers, or some are afraid to refer another planner when they’ve are already booked for fear it will take something away from our business. When in reality, when we support each other’s businesses, it brings us all closer together. If I refer someone to a planner that I work with and she refers a client to me, it’s a win-win in my book,” Ramona says.
When Ramona asked these other professionals to join her on the shoot, the response was, of course, extremely positive. She says, “I think when I asked the professionals to join me, they were really excited and honored that I was willing to share the spotlight. But to me, the spotlight is bringing these women together.” And we couldn’t agree more! Real Weddings was the beneficiary of these creative women coming together to collaboratively design and install this gorgeous set!
Jennifer Corrigan of Sacramento Event Co. notes, “When women collaborate together, especially when business women collaborate, great things happen, almost seamlessly. Even more so if you have creative businesswomen working together.”
The entire day was about working together, sharing and expanding on ideas and achieving a goal as a whole, rather than as separate parts of the whole.
Cindy Magan of Hillside Blooms Floristry says, “We truly were friends by the end of the day.”
Savannah Knapp of Savannahs Savory Sweets shares the same sentiment by adding. “The best part of this shoot was working with such a wonderful inspiring group of women and bonding with them. We all connected on a such a great level.”
Kelly Peart of Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals adds, “We were able to bounce and share ideas and see the vision through everyone’s eyes.”
Lindsey Fischer of Getting Hitched Design + Rentals and Magnolia Avenue Events says,“It was such a great experience to be able to work with these talented wedding pros!”
These women demonstrated everything we love about the vendors in this area, and despite the 100+ degree weather on the day of our shoot, it truly was a magical experience! Thanks ladies!
