Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Our initial meeting in 2008 was by complete chance, and at the time I didn’t think it would ever lead to marriage, but Josh on the other hand, knew from day one. As I started to get to know him better everything started to click. We both began to realize just how much we balanced each other out. A few months later, on Memorial Day weekend, we went to Santa Cruz for the day and while we were sitting on a giant rock watching the water… he proposed.
We’re now expecting a little girl in late February and are so excited to add to our family.
What was the most amazing part of your day? For me, I think it was the fact that it was finally here. I was so overwhelmed with love, and I was so happy to finally see it all come together and marry Josh.
For Josh, it was saying our vows to each other in front of everyone who ever mattered to us, aside from seeing each other for the first time that day.
What else would you like to share about your big day: If there was one thing that made it incredibly special for both of us, it would be that Josh’s father was the one who married us. It was the most personal touch we could have ever added to our wedding day.

Trizza and her second shooter were amazing that day. Trizza has a way of making us feel so comfortable and she is incredibly talented. We didn’t want an overwhelming amount of the traditional posed wedding pictures, and Trizza did a great job. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is.
Wedding Planner: We didn’t have an official planner. Sherry, the owner of The Heirloom Inn, made everything come together. She was as close as we got to a planner.
Caterer: Mother Lode Market
Cake: Sweet Cakes by Rebecca
Flowers: Placerville Flowers on Main
Favors: DIY. We had bubbles and made a “love is in the air” label to wrap around them. We had a very bubbly first dance.
Wedding Dress: Bridal Mart
Bridesmaid Dresses: Maid of Honor (who also became a sister in-law that day, too) from Nordstrom, other two bridesmaids’ dresses were from David’s Bridal
It was such a tough choice, I looked everywhere and I mean everywhere! I didn’t think I would be so picky.
Hair: Hailey Roberts from Rinnovare Salon
Makeup: Makeup by Ingrid
Invitations: DIY
DJ/Entertainment/Band: Robert O’Connell
Honeymoon location: North Shore, Lake Tahoe
Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out? Oh they were all so wonderful! Ingrid, who did my makeup, was amazing! She was so sweet and did such a stellar job…I felt amazing, and I looked amazing.
Sherry, the owner of The Heirloom Inn, was amazing as well. She took all the little details I gave her and made everything look beautiful.
First Dance Song: Always Forever by Phil Wickham
Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Slow down and take a deep breath, if things start to get overwhelming stop and remember why you’re doing all this planning.
Your fiance is your biggest support system, don’t forget that.
Making it as much his wedding as it is yours is something I think is especially important. Josh and I made almost all the decisions together and it was definitely give and take, but it was worth it. He was super adamant about having a layer of funfetti cake, and at first I wasn’t completely sold but he wanted it, so we had a layer of funfetti cake.
And finally, your day will be exactly what you make it
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? The only thing I would have done differently is spaced my time out more, I feel like it went way too fast.
