About the Business:
Rainbow Weddings & Events by Sara is a Black LGBTQIA+ woman-owned company that designs and plans creative, joy-filled, magical events for those who believe in love. We are wedding revolutionaries who create unique, beautiful, and wildly fun moments where everyone belongs!
Favorite Thing to do Locally:
Take my mini Australian Labradoodle, Hobie (HO-bee), to the local agility class. Watching a very fast moving happy dog levitate and fly through the air is a lot of fun.
Favorite Local Restaurant:
Currently, Queen Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant. The colors, the flavors, the warmth… amazing vegan and gluten-free and vegetarian options. Everything about it makes my stomach and heart happy.
Favorite Wedding Venues:
Abele Farms Events, Ruth Bancroft Garden, Stemple Creek Ranch, Mill Valley Community Center and Old Mill Park, the BLOC Venue, and anyone’s private estate or backyard.
Favorite Wedding Tips:
Embrace the imperfections and the unexpected. Those are the things that make your wedding day unique and perfect.
Favorite Flower:
Ranunculus! Literally one of the most beautiful flowers out there. So many layers and so delicate, yet such a statement. If you ever get to see the dark purple one that looks like they’re black… you’ll understand what I mean.
