Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We briefly met in 2012 at a fundraising event while we were undergraduate students at California State University, Sacramento. We had seen each other around campus before but this was the first time we were able to meet. After meeting, we spent our winter break getting to know one another. We started dating on February 1, 2013 and got engaged after having been together for over five and a half years. He proposed one evening during a trip to Oahu, Hawaii. We were heading out to watch the evening firework show when caught me by surprise and popped the big question.
The wedding planning was fun yet stressful. It was fun to plan all of the details and research all of the vendors of our choice, but it became stressful when COVID-19 caused closures of many places, including our venue. We had organized a spring 2020 wedding that had to be postponed well into the summer. Once the new date was scheduled, we were back to step one with researching and thinking of creative ways to keep our guests safe. The venue and our coordinator helped us tremendously with planning a safe and fun environment.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Saying “I Do” was by far the best part of the day. Another memorable moment was our first dance. The mood and music were incredible, and it brought back so many memories, from our first meeting right up to our engagement. Being able to share this day with our friends and family was nothing short of amazing.
