Where do you find inspiration?

Our brides are our inspiration. Finding what makes them happy, what makes them feel beautiful and working to achieve their vision.

Can you share a memorable moment about one of your clients?

I’ve so many good ones! However I will choose just one from 2020, which was one heck of a year! Wina was one of the many brides affected by COVID-19 this year. Her and her love were heartbroken when they had to postpone their wedding. However, as the date rolled around they decided to throw convention to the wind and still get married. It was last minute and just going to be at the courthouse, but Wina still wanted to feel like a bride. She found us on Google and fell in love with our portfolio. When she called she didn’t think we would be available, but we were. I personally did her hair and makeup, even talked her into a sassy red lip. When she left my studio that morning she said she finally felt like a bride. Her smile touched my heart and her joy in something so simple as a pretty red lip reminded me why I love what I do.

What’s your favorite compliment that one of your clients has given you?

A bride of ours this year left a review and in it she said a line that literally made me cry with pride: “I’ll never look as beautiful as I did on the day of my wedding, and that’s thank to Personify Bridal.”

What is your favorite fun thing to do locally?

I love taking my little dog, Jackie, for long walks at Gibson Ranch.

What’s your favorite local charity?

Bradshaw Animal Shelter.

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

Lido’s in Fair Oaks.

Do you have a secret vice or indulgence? What is it?

My (not so) secret indulgence is a day at Asha Urban Bathhouse in Sacramento. I love spending the day soaking in hot salt water and reading. The best way to indulge and relieve stress.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I write romantic/urban fantasy/paranormal fiction; the first book in my new series was just released in 2020 and is available for all e-reading devices. Check out my work here.

If you weren’t a hair and makeup artist, what other profession would you have liked to have done?

Does everyone say astronaut? Just kidding! I’ve always wanted to travel and write. I’ve got the writing down, now for the travel.

If you were to plan your own wedding, what would be most important to you?

For me it’s all about the venue and the food. And, I would, hands-down, hire a day-of coordinator. For me that is one of the smartest decisions any bride can make. There are so many details that day it can be overwhelming. I would definitely have someone to handle all the little details the day of so I could enjoy getting ready with my girls.

What advice would you can give to soon-to-be-married couples?

Take your time planning, don’t settle and enjoy the process.
