We are fortunate to partner with plenty of amazing vendors; be it photographers, planners, DJs, and more. Today, we are excited to introduce one of our fabulous partners, Sandy! Sandy is a Roseville-based/Northern California Wedding Planner, and the owner of Strings & Champagne Events. Keep scrolling to learn more about Sandy and her wonderful business!

When did you establish your business?

I started Strings & Champagne Events in 2007, yes, it’s been a while! With the ever changing wedding industry, I have not lost the fun of creating fabulous memories and lasting friendships!

Tell us a little about your business.

Stressing over picking the best wedding planner should not be on your to do list! If you like champagne as much as I do, you will soon realize how fun wedding planning can be without the added stress and endless scrolling without results.

What made you start your business?

I didn’t know I was going to be a wedding planner, but there were early signs that I was a pro at making lists and planning get togethers. The hospitality and travel industry taught me to be prepared for the unexpected and that’s what truly matters.

How has your business evolved since you first started?

If you think that you can become a wedding planner just because you did a good job at planning your own, I’d say… well, there is a reason why real pros invest a lot of time and money into education and staying on top of all of the newest trends and communication tools as our clients also continue change and evolve.

What sets you apart from your competition?

I don’t wear a headset and I don’t show up on your wedding day unprepared. You are my main focus – but let’s be real, I’m fun, but calm, easy but focused, and add the bubbly to your experience.

Any trends you’re hoping make a comeback? Or don’t make a comeback?

More focus on the ceremony. So much time is invested in the look of the ceremony but it’s only enjoyed for five minutes.

Have you won any awards and if so, what and when?

Brides turned Friends have re-elected me year after year and put me in the top three of Favorite Wedding Planners in the area. Wonderful reviews share true experiences and that alone is worth any award.

What is the most outrageous thing you’ve ever seen at a wedding?

Not necessarily a thing but some toasts have been quite adventurous.

What’s your favorite comment/compliment that one of your clients has given you/your business?

“You are a true professional. I know there are many things you did that we will never know and words will never be enough to express how grateful we are to your dedication to making our day perfect.”

What is your favorite fun thing to do locally?

I love where I live and take advantage of all of the amazing trails. From Miner’s Ravine to Robie Point and Tahoe Rim Trail.

What’s your favorite local restaurant?

Wally’s Cafe in Rocklin.

Do you have a signature drink? If so, what is it?

I call it the Roseville Mule: vodka, ginger beer, lemon juice and a splash of sparkling wine with raspberry.

If you weren’t in the business that you are in now, what other business/profession would you have liked to have done?

Fashion and interior design.

What advice would you can give to soon-to-be-married couples?

Stay in the moment, make memories, and don’t worry about the small things. Hire a wedding planner!
