Real Weddings is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary and in honor of this milestone, we are checking back in with our beautiful cover models! We’ve been so lucky to work with over 60 local brides these past 10 years and we’re eager to see where they are now.

When did you get married?

My husband Daniel and I got married at Arden Hills Club & Spa on July 16, 2011. The bed & breakfast on site had recently opened so we were able to have our ceremony in that courtyard and our reception in the large ballroom in the main building . It was such a beautiful setting for our special day.

Any children (fur or human)?

We have two pugs that we adopted long before we were married, and have expanded our family since then. We have a son, Hudson, who will be 3 in December and we have a baby girl on the way, due in December. Very exciting (and busy!) time in our lives right now.

What do you do for a living?

I work for Caliber Home Loans as the Regional Coordinator for the Northern California Region. Daniel is the Dean of Learning Support at one of the local high schools, the high school he attended as a teenager. We both love our jobs and the especially the people we work with.

Where are you living?

We purchased a home in Vacaville about 2 months before our wedding. Note: I do not recommend starting your house hunt while in the midst of wedding planning. We still live in our home, which is located in the town we both grew up in and close to most of our family.

What do you do for  fun?

When we’re not busy with work or school, we love going out to eat and attending baseball games. One of my favorite date night spots is Preserve in Winters. We also enjoy going to concerts and feeding our souls with live music. As a family we love going to the local parks; we’re fortunate enough to have one just a block away from our home.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself on your wedding day?

Give yourself a deadline, say like 10 p.m. the night before the wedding or your rehearsal start time, and after that there is to be no more stressing about the little details; that way you can just be in the moment and enjoy your day. I spent so much of my rehearsal day, rehearsal dinner and the morning of the wedding, thinking about and worrying about little details. The day of your wedding, you just need to take a deep breath, a couple sips of champagne and enjoy the moment because the whole day really does fly by!

What’s your favorite part of marriage?

My favorite part of marriage is having a built in best friend. Daniel is my partner in crime, my ride or die friend and my secret keeper. Honestly, there’s rarely a time he turns down one of my crazy date night ideas or last minute trips and we have so much fun together. He’s my biggest supporter and my safe place. I’m so lucky so have found him and blessed that I get to create and raise a family with him.

Lastly, how was your Cover Model experience?

It felt like it was meant to be that I had the opportunity to do this shoot. The location we shot at was my wedding venue and the photographer who was shooting the feature was my wedding photographer. It was like we got to do a trial run before my actual wedding. Real Weddings did a phenomenal job with the photo shoot and coordinating everything. It was so surreal to see my face on the cover of a magazine when I’d go to the grocery store. If I could do it again, I would in a heartbeat!
