Here to inspire you, it’s Real Weddings Wednesdays! Today, we present Ashley & Sebastian!
Wedding Date: September 16, 2017
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Sebastian and I originally met in high school. We didn’t talk much then until about five years after graduation. We randomly started talking to each other on Facebook, and he made me laugh so much! Since then we have been inseparable. We dated for six years before he proposed. He proposed June 26, 2016 on the beach in Carmel (where my parents had their honeymoon). Close friends were there as a surprise to witness the amazing day! We started planning the wedding immediately since we chose a date a year and three months away. Planning the wedding was so stressful, yet fun and exciting. I was never the type of girl to dream of her wedding day and already have plans set, so it was a daily struggle with the decision making part of it. I had amazing support from family, friends, and of course my then fiancé. Everything turned out amazing. I am truly grateful for the venues and businesses that made our special day breathtaking. It was a relief when it was finished, but I must say, I will cherish those memories forever!
What was the most amazing part of your day? Walking down the aisle with my father. It warms my heart every time I think about it. And dancing all night long with my husband and loved ones.

Any advice you’d give to couples planning their wedding right now? Take a deep breath and REALLY try to enjoy your special day! Get enough sleep the night before (I know it may be hard). Really cherish the moment you have all your family together at once.
Anything you would have done differently? Take the time to greet each guest. Yes, sounds tiring, but I really do wish I would’ve personally thanked everyone for coming to celebrate with us. Some people came from another country! Also, make sure your dress is bustled (if you have a train and a bustle) correctly! Mine wasn’t and it showed in the pictures and still bothers me to this day! Haha! And lastly, keep the train of my dress down for pictures. I should’ve bustled it after pictures!
