Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Coleman and I met in college while attending Sacramento State. We were both involved in fraternity and sorority and shared many of the same great memories. Over the years we grew closer and realized this was a forever type of relationship.
Coleman proposed in the most romantic way. He replicated our first Valentine’s Day together where he posted little red hearts all over my room and each one had a reason of why he loved me. As I opened the door and saw all of the little hearts, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I instantly said, “Yes!”
The planning of the wedding started right after the proposal and as soon as we walked into the Winchester Country Club, we fell in love and knew this was our venue. Next, I found Ford Family Photography and I cannot not say enough good things about Rebecca and team. She helped me find so many amazing vendors that made our wedding picture perfect.
While I did not have a wedding planner, my mother certainly stepped in and took care of every detail big and small. She really took away the stress most brides talk about and for me the wedding planning was a breeze.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Having my dad walk me down the aisle and getting to marry my best friend.
What else would you like to share about your big day? Everyone told us September was one of the best months to have a wedding, because of the great weather, however on our wedding day, it poured rain all day. But, right as we were pronounced husband and wife, the sun decided to come out and we were able to get some spectacular photos and no one would have known it rained at all. We like to think the rain made the wedding more memorable and all our guests still said they had the best time.
