Tell us a little about you and your beloved.

Brian and I met on the Hinge app in January 2021: him a worship pastor from Auburn, and me an elementary teacher from El Dorado Hills. We were two people who never thought [to] try online dating – but had it not been for the Internet, we would have lived not more than 45 minutes from each other, never crossing paths, and that is the craziest thing to think about! Our first date was at The Fat Rabbit in Old Town Folsom, where he also proposed to me a little after a year of dating. We had an eight month engagement, and we cannot thank our families enough for everything they did to make our wedding so unforgettable!

For Brian: seeing Christina walk down the aisle (we skipped the first look, and are so happy we did!). For Christina: saying our personal vows to each other during our ceremony! (They [are] now framed above our nightstands and it’s my favorite thing).

What advice would you give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?

At times wedding planning can become stressful and overwhelming. When these moments came, Brian and I would remind each other the reason for the stress is because we get to get married. This little reminder helped us refocus our energy towards the excitement of the big day!
