Oh how we love Real Weddings Wednesdays! Today, we present Shannon & Brian! Enjoy!
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: One fateful day, Brian was perusing his OkCupid matches when he happened upon my profile. After an epic exchange of memes, I agreed to a date. Brian picked me up and we had a romantic date playing pool where either I played the best I ever have or Brian let me win. The stars aligned that night, and the rest is history.
Four years of adventure later and we’ve shared our love of the outdoors, camping, travel, and our fur babies. For our 4-year anniversary, Brian took us on a hot air balloon and while in the air, he got on one knee and popped the question.
We both love the outdoors and knew that’s where we wanted to get married so the Forest House Lodge was the perfect setting for our wedding.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Marrying the love of my life.
What else would you like to share about your big day? We had an absolute blast—our vendors did an incredible job throwing an unforgettable celebration!

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Wedding planning can be stressful. Don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy the journey to your wedding. Also, don’t plan your wedding while simultaneously buying a house…that’s more stress than anyone deserves.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? No, it was perfect.
