Tell us a little about you and your beloved.

We met our freshman year of high school (2009-2010) and became best friends. Fast forward nine years [and] we got engaged, just the two of us together in the comfort of our cute little home with our two wiener dog children. We had so much fun planning the wedding together and did almost everything ourselves! We knew exactly how we wanted things so we did a lot of projects. With a two-year engagement we had plenty of time and everything went so smoothly.

What was the best part of your wedding day?

The most amazing part of our day was our personal vows we wrote for each other to read in front of all of our guests. It was so special.

What advice would you give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?

Give yourself time, be patient, let your partner be involved, don’t worry about every small thing that doesn’t go right. You’ll be so caught up in how beautiful and perfect your day is you won’t even notice the tiny details. Enjoy your partner, and soak it all in. It goes by so fast.

Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance?

The only thing we would have done differently is we would have had a private dance at the end of the night after everyone left, just the two of us.
