Tell us a little about you and your beloved:  Jason and I have similar traits that can be a mixed blessing. We were born one year and four days apart — making us both Cancers. We both believe in commitment, family and home. Our favorite place when we are not home is exploring Mount Tamalpais together.
What was the most amazing part of your day?  “The Reveal.” Jason and I saw each other just prior to our ceremony. We shared a few moments together and with our families before the festivies began, and those were magicial for us.
What else would you like to share about your big day?  Jason and I picked each other in the beginning, built our relationship and eventually picked each other to marry. As we built our relationship, I was working to build a relationship with his children. I love them ferociously. It was very important to us that our children were a part of the wedding planning decisions along the way and during the ceremony. We were marrying, not only as a couple, but as a family. The depth of security our marriage brought to the children was something I didn’t anticipate.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?  Simplify and stay true to your budget.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance?  The bridal party hair took longer than expected so we were rushed for time. I’m a big clock watcher and get anxious when off schedule. If I had scheduled the appointment earlier it would have spared myself some stress.
