The Couple: Kendall and Charles

Wedding Date: April 28, 2012

Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Chuck and I are like kids at heart! We love to have fun! You can find us hanging out at home with our two dogs and two cats, watching a ton of baseball, enjoying Sunday movie nights and playing board games! Since we both love to cook (Chuck is a chef), we spend most of our evenings in the kitchen cooking dinner and just hanging out.

What was the most amazing part of your day? Getting HITCHED!! I’m sure most couples say that but we were really happy to be making it official! And, of course, getting to shake our groove thangs with our friends and family!!

What else would you like to share about your big day? In the end, your friends and family really make the event. You can put so much time and energy into the small (and big) details of the wedding day but when I think back on our wedding I think back to all the fun times I had with my sister and my girlfriends in all the wedding events!

Ceremony and Reception Site, and Caterer: Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center, Foxtail Golf Course

Cake: Your Sweet Expectations

Flowers: DIY Bouquets. We purchased the boutonnieres through Sports Roses.

Favors: Cooperstown Cookie Company. We LOVED our favors. We ordered baseball cookie bunt packs for each person. Seriously the BEST shortbread cookies ever!

Bridal and Bridesmaids’ Attire: David’s Bridal

Hair and Make-up: Lindsay De La Garza

Invitations: Vista Print

DJ/Entertainment/Band: Perfect Day Events

Honeymoon Location: Oahu, HI. We stayed down on Waikiki Beach! Amazing!!

Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out? I absolutely LOVED my hair piece and the matching ones the girls wore. I actually bought them on ETSY! Also, my Mom and I did all the small details such as the centerpieces, name cards, the cake signs, the guest book sign, Mr & Mrs sign and Let Them Eat Cake sign.

First Dance Song: “Turn the Lights Down Low” by Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? All those small details won’t matter as much as you think on your day. What will matter most is being with all your husband, your family and friends…don’t get too caught up in the minor details! Focus on the big picture!!

Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? The only thing we would have changed was the hotel we stayed at on the night of our wedding. The hotel screwed up and gave away our room and then scrambled to get us a room.
