Soft alpine light, a little nostalgia, and the feeling you’ve stepped into a movie—that was the energy behind this Lake Tahoe styled shoot. Inspired by the whimsical storytelling and color palettes of Wes Anderson, eighteen talented local wedding creatives came together in the mountains to explore what a wedding day can feel like when every detail has intention behind it—with playful summer camp charm woven throughout.
Beneath towering pines, the day was designed to unfold like a real experience—from the quiet moments before the ceremony to dancing late into the mountain night. Gorgeous, intentional details were everywhere you looked, each one thoughtfully chosen and layered together so the entire day felt cohesive rather than styled in separate parts. A live painter quietly captured moments as they happened, while Coco Chanel, the English Bulldog, happily stole a bit of the spotlight—adding personality and that carefree, slightly whimsical camp vibe that made everything feel relaxed and joyful.
The ceremony let Lake Tahoe’s natural beauty lead while still feeling personal and intimate. Paper goods, rich fabrics, sculptural florals, and fashion-forward styling carried the story into cocktail hour and the reception, where candlelight and curated tablescapes warmed the cool alpine air—editorial yet inviting, elevated but never too serious.
As the sun disappeared, the mood shifted. Conversations turned into laughter, the timeline loosened, and the space transformed into a dance floor beneath the stars. It felt a little like the best kind of summer camp night—everyone gathered together, music playing, no one wanting it to end.
We’re excited to share this submitted styled shoot in the current Winter/Spring 2026 issue of Real Weddings that’s out now, and as today’s #StyledShootSunday—enjoy dear readers!
