Um, have you looked at the weather for this week? It’s going to be HOT. HOT. HOT. Like really hot. So this #StyledShootSunday has us dreaming of cooler weather where we can snuggle up with our sweetie…who’s in?! Take a journey with us to this gorgeous woodsy picnic inspiration styled shoot…complete with pretty details, lots of love (um, could the real couple models Olivia + Andrew be any cuter?!) and…wait for it…a FLORAL STOLE (designed by Strelitzia Flower Company)! Yeah, really!  Enjoy dear Real Weddings Readers!

When we asked planner Haley from Haley Nyal Events about the inspiration for this shoot, she said:

Our team wanted to combine Vintage + Boho Wedding styles at an inviting outdoor setting for this elopement styled shoot.
This elopement styled shoot vibe started with these gorgeous floral arrangements evoking both a classic look with the roses teamed with a Boho feeling of just picked wildflowers. Then, by bringing in neutral shades and earthy tones along with the textures in the fur shawl and the antique finds for the place settings achieved the classic vintage elegance for the vibe. And, we really loved adding in the wooden touches to the decor to complement the woodsy outdoor setting. We created the “cozy” feeling with the bright cuddle picnic area. Then by tying it all together with a gorgeous cake, sweet treats and personalized charcuterie along with the simply beautiful tabletop, the team nailed the aesthetic we were aiming for. Plus, the UC Davis Arboretum was the perfect location for our woodsy vibe. We’re so happy with how this styled shoot turned out!
And, floral designer Samantha from Strelitiza Flower Company said:
We loved the deep tones of the mood board that co-designers Haley (from Haley Nyal Events) and Katelyn (from Katelyn Bradley Photography) put together. We knew we wanted to play with a woodland feel, which meant a lot of textures like dried thistle and a variety of pods in all of the arrangements. We also wanted color that would stand out from and accent the setting without overwhelming it. One of our big goals for every styled shoot is to challenge ourselves and create something we’ve never done before. For this shoot, we designed a floral stole that we were able to use in a variety of ways. It was the perfect accent for “snuggle up” photos!
