Melissa and Jesse’s love story took them all the way to Maui, where Jesse proposed at sunset on Ho’okipa Beach, just off the iconic Hana Highway—a spot chosen for its deep connection to their family. As the sky shifted colors over the water, he got down on one knee, and the two later celebrated with a dinner already arranged for them at their favorite restaurant in the world. That same intention and care carried straight through to their wedding weekend at Lamoure Vineyards, where an intimate, all-inclusive celebration unfolded across three distinct barn spaces. Their ceremony transformed a rustic barn into a chapel-like setting, complete with church-style pews, a wooden cross adorned in florals, and an aisle lined in white rose petals—officiated by the groom’s cousin and best man, with soft gospel music setting a peaceful, reverent tone.

To honor Jesse’s Mexican-American heritage, an all-female mariachi band greeted the newlyweds immediately after their first kiss, escorting them through a flower-lined garden pathway into cocktail hour. The celebration continued with a family-style dinner in front of a glowing fire pit, heartfelt speeches from loved ones and children, and a first dance wrapped in a dreamy “cloud” effect that ended in cold sparklers. Later, cups of espresso martinis topped with whipped cream sent guests into an after party that carried on late into the night, capped off with a bubble send-off. And in one of the day’s sweetest unscripted moments, the couple’s photographer captured the youngest guests gathered around a few rabbits on the property, completely delighted.

We’re thrilled to feature their love story in the Summer/Fall 2026 issue of Real Weddings.
