When our friend and colleague Alexandria Elaine Macdonald from Alexandria Elaine Event & Design started a new networking organization, Wedding Professionals Network of California, we knew it would be a success—not only does the organization provide monthly networking opportunities for local wedding pros, but also continuing education opportunities along with creative collaborations as well. This past July, Alexandria spearheaded a team of creatives for the WPNCA Ever After Experience encompassing a networking meeting for local pros mixed with a meet and greet with local engaged couples topped off by a gorgeous wedding-inspo styled shoot! We’re incredibly honored to feature this shoot for today’s #StyledShootSunday.

When we asked Alexandria for the inspiration behind the shoot, she said, “This photo shoot was inspired by the unveiling of a beautifully reimagined modern event space. From the outset, I wanted to create a design concept that celebrated the venue’s architectural details rather than competing with them. When developing the initial vision board, I focused on a modern, airy aesthetic—one that paired clean minimalism with moments of romance, whimsy, and lightness. The goal was to demonstrate how luxury can be communicated through thoughtful restraint, refined textures, and the quiet confidence of intentional design. Today’s modern bride isn’t seeking an overabundance of décor; she’s drawn to the elegance found in the subtleties, where each element feels purposeful and elevating.”

She continues, “This concept came to life through remarkable collaboration. Our rental team (Liora Jardin Event Rentals & Decor) curated modern minimalist pieces that grounded the design, while our floral partner (Flowers Studio LeFleur) layered in movement and softness, striking the perfect balance between structure and delicacy. The creative synergy extended far beyond the tablescape: our bakers (Spilled Milk Company and Beasley & Sons Bakery) crafted designs that aligned seamlessly with the aesthetic; the dress boutique (Dare and Dazzle) and model (Isabella) embodied the modern, romantic look with effortless grace; and our photographers (Captured Memories Photography and Rachel Reynolds Co. Photo + Video) captured every detail with clarity and emotion, ensuring the vision translated beautifully on camera. Even the “dog of honor” (Waffles, chaperoned by Dog of Honor Events) added a touch of whimsy that perfectly complemented the atmosphere. Every contributor understood the assignment, and their combined artistry honored the space while enhancing its natural beauty, bringing the vision to fruition with impeccable execution.”

“What made this project especially meaningful was the ability to showcase the talents of our creative partners to recently engaged couples by hosting an open house within the styled environment. It became more than a photo shoot—it was a living, immersive experience that highlighted the best of what The Wedding Professionals Network members bring to a wedding day. I could not have imagined a more dedicated, imaginative team, and I am deeply grateful for the synergy that made this vision feel so effortless and alive. It was a true work of art.”
