On a golden California evening, Enid and Nick said their vows at a family friend’s private estate in El Dorado Hills, with Nick’s own grandfather stepping in as officiant. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, blending humor and blessing as only a grandparent could give. Enid wore a flowing lace gown from Brides for a Cause, and the couple honored the generations before them with a photo wall pairing their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos side by side—a tribute made all the more striking by how similar the images looked, despite being taken on opposite sides of the world.
The reception carried that same warmth into the evening, with two food trucks serving up the couple’s favorite street food from Mumbai and San Francisco, a nod to blending their two backgrounds. Guests danced under the string lights, all captured beautifully by Shoop’s Photography, and the celebration closed out with a simple, elegant cake and cupcakes from Spilled Milk Company. It was a day built on comfort, closeness, and the kind of laid-back joy that comes from celebrating surrounded by family—exactly what Enid and Nick had hoped for.
