We’re excited to show you Tierney and Patrick’s beautiful ceremony on today’s Real Weddings Wednesday! So kick your feet up, lean back, and relax because we can’t wait for you to read all about the lovely couple and see gorgeous photos from Rebecca Skidgel Photography.
Tell us a little about you and your beloved.
Our first date was coffee and a walk with our puppies on a rare sunny day in February in Seattle. The date lasted for hours! We later shared with each other that we both knew from the moment we met that this was the one. After a little over a year of adventures, travel, and raising puppies together, we traveled to visit the Texas Hill Country, a place that holds special childhood memories for Patrick. That weekend, next to the river deep in the heart of Texas, Patrick got down on one knee. Easiest yes ever!
What was the best part of your day?
There was a moment at dinner where Patrick and I were sitting together at our sweetheart table, drinking our favorite Iron Horse champagne, holding hands, and looking out at all of our friends and family that were gathered to celebrate with us. We felt so much love, especially in that moment. (Note: there is a picture of this, one of my favorites!)
What else would you like to share about your big day?
We planned our wedding in four months! I knew I wanted an intimate outdoor wedding in wine country in the fall and we were engaged on Memorial Day weekend. We had just 40 people in attendance and our venue, The Madrona, made wedding planning easy with their exceptional service offerings.
Advice from the couple:
Focus on what makes you two happy as a couple and hire a day-of coordinator.
