Did you know that in all of the photo shoot features that we do, we use real brides (and grooms, too!) as our models? It’s true! We love that these real brides are going through their wedding planning journey, just like you!
Now you get to learn a little bit more about our gorgeous bride, Annie Ockwig! Annie rocked our “What’s Your Wedding Season: Winter” photo shoot from the Summer/Fall 2014 issue! Isn’t she stunning?
Thank you for being such a great Real Weddings real bride model, Annie! Take it away:
Real Weddings: What made you want to model for this shoot?
Annie Ockwig: I wanted to be a model for this shoot because it was something I had never done before. It was a great opportunity. I am so excited to be able to share the photos with my children one day.
RW: What was your favorite part of modeling?
AO: My favorite part about the shoot was being pampered and feeling special for the day; much like a bride feels on her wedding day. I enjoyed getting dolled up and wearing a gorgeous gown.
RW: What was your favorite part of the actual photo shoot? Did you relate to the season you represented?
AO: I loved the snow. It was so beautiful. My fiancé and I are getting married in the fall, so it was nice to see what I may have worn and what the weather would have been like had we chosen a winter wedding. There is definitely something special about winter.
RW: What do you do for a living?
AO: I work in downtown Sacramento as a hairstylist at a salon called Maverique. I love my job and my wonderful clients. I am usually the one doing the pampering, so it was nice to be the one being pampered for the day.
RW: Tell us about your own wedding.
AO: Our wedding will take place in October in Foresthill at the Monte Verde Inn. We couldn’t be more excited! It is going to be a rustic, shabby-chic style with a lot of candles and light colors.
RW: What did your fiancé and the rest of your family think about you doing this?
AO: My family and fiancé were very excited for me to do this. They are almost as excited as me to see how it turned out.
