Today’s tip comes from Chelsea Evans, owner of The Wandering Photo Bus and Capture Create Studios:

Sacramento Tahoe Wedding PhotographyBook Ahead and Consider Wedding/Event Insurance

“When it comes to your vendors and your guests, everyone wants to be accommodating. If you need to postpone, try to reach out to your vendors as quickly as possible to see what their contracts’ state, if they are available, and how they can help you during this crazy time. Because trust me, if there is anything your vendors want, it’s to be in the loop as much as possible, and to also be helpful when need be.

If you are planning for a 2021 wedding, she suggests planning as much as you can as soon as possible. “We are letting new 2021 couples know to find dates as soon as they can because next year is going to be a lot busier than an average wedding season.

And, she urges couples to consider wedding/event insurance, “Planning your wedding during this time can be very stressful and scary. To give couples a little more sense of security we have started telling them about wedding insurance. Just like vendors are required to have liability insurance in case of a catastrophic event, it makes sense for couples to protect their day by having coverage as well, due to unforeseen circumstances.” – Chelsea Evans, owner of The Wandering Photo Bus and Capture Create Studios
