Real Weddings is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary and in honor of this milestone, we are checking back in with our beautiful cover models! We’ve been so lucky to work with over 60 local brides these past 10 years and we’re eager to see where they are now.

When did you get married?

January 22, 2010 and Shadowbrook Restaurant in Capitola.

Any children (fur or human)?

We got pregnant on our honeymoon and came back with the best souvenir. We now have two boys, Hudson & Johnny, Bella (yellow lab), Wonder Woman (rabbit), and IronMan (our female cat). Guess who got to name the pets?!

What do you do for a living?

I am a family photographer and shuttle our two boys from school to sports practices and playdates.

Where are you living?

We live in El Dorado County.

What do you do for  fun?

We enjoy the local Farmers’ Markets. You can find one pretty close at least three times per week. We also spend a lot of time at any number of lakes up Highway 50.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself on your wedding day?

I really enjoyed every minute of our wedding day. If anything I wish we would have taken a few extra days to spend in Capitola. To someone else I would say, “Enjoy the laughter and the love surrounding you. All the details, while pivotal for a good party, will be executed beautifully if you hire the right professionals. Don’t waste your time micromanaging things.”

What’s your favorite part of marriage?

Our differences are my favorite part of marriage! I like having a partner who makes me examine things from a different perspective and always keeps me on my toes. I could set my watch by him most days, but his opinions and antics always keep my attention.

Lastly, how was your Cover Model experience?

I loved every minute of my cover model experience! The team was professional and fun! Wendy’s energy during the shoot was contagious and she could draw out some of the most genuine laughs from us with her silliness.
