COVID-19 has certainly thrown wedding planning a major curve ball…but lucky for you, we have amazing wedding pros ready to help! For this blog series, we’ve asked our partners to share their expert knowledge, actionable tips, and words of wisdom on what engaged couples can do right now to help you plan your upcoming wedding. Be sure to tune in daily!
Today’s tip comes from Brandy West, owner of Go West Baking and Events
“Have a backup plan for every aspect of your special day. Ask vendors if they have flexibility if there is a change to location, timing, or guest count before signing a contract. Ask up front what contracts read in regard to cancellations, postponements, and deposits/retainers/payments. These questions protect both sides and encourage open communication. Remember, most vendors are small businesses, trying to navigate through these unusual times, as well.” – Brandy West, owner of Go West Baking and Events.
